Whether you’re staying for an hour or making a proper day of it, we’ve got plenty to keep the whole family entertained.

Donkeys, Face Paint and Games Galore

The kids can say hello to some very friendly donkeys, get a face painting makeover from our resident artist (Picasso-level results not guaranteed, but we’ll give it a good go) and dive into a day of family games.

And live music will be keeping the vibes flowing all afternoon.

Mocktails for Mini Mixologists

Got a budding cocktail connoisseur in the family? Our bar team will be running a mocktail-making session, where children can shake, stir and sip their very own creation. No booze, all the fun.

Come Down and See What’s New at The Jobber’s Rest

It’s also the perfect chance to discover our newly refurbished pub. We closed our doors for a month over April and May for a £430,000 refurbishment, part of Heartwood Collection’s wider £1.5 million investment across five of our pubs.

If you’ve not come down to see us since our reopening, expect refreshed décor, new soft furnishings and a beautifully revitalised outdoor garden, complete with stylish new furniture and thoughtful planting.

Our distinctive character and heritage features remain, but there’s a fresh new energy running through the place, led by new General Manager Roger Franklin and new Head Chef Infanto Pereira.

Roger says: “We’re delighted to be reopening The Jobber’s Rest and sharing the results of the refurbishment with our guests. It’s created a space that feels both fresh and familiar.”
